Red Cedar has a stronger, classic cedar fragrance and a more refined appearance in as much we can supply clear red cedar with little of no knots . White Cedar is lighter in colour with more knots. Its aroma is generally milder than red cedar. Both colours perform equally well..

Yes all saunas have ventilation
Before using a sauna consult your doctor if you have heart disease, low or high blood pressure or might be pregnant. Do not use if you are dehydrated, under the influence of alcohol or on medication that impairs your ability to sweat. If in doubt take medical advice.
We specify heaters from establish longstanding brands and recommend that they are used in accordance with the user manual and serviced as recommended.
Brush off any debris. Wipe internal walls and benches with warm soapy water as required to remove body oils and sweat. If you want to minimise moisture ingress stains, lightly sand these when dry. Wipe the sauna down after sanding
Yes the Panorama has the option for a changing room and the "Plus" saunas have a dedicated shower space. There is also the option to have a stand alone shower cubicle or shower stand
Very much so and with a wide selection of sizes and metal or cedar cladding options capabale of being stained or painted, the saunas can be easily integrated into most environments
There are various layout and glazing options where cedar panels can be swapped out for glass and benches can be configured differently. We do not undertake bespoke alterations
Yes - we have saunas to fit most gardens. We also have a range of indoor saunas
You do not need to treat the cedar due to its natural properties decsribed above but you do need to ensure that you do not get a build up of organic material on the roof or any greening of the timber on the south facing elevation. If you want to maintain the cedar colour and you do not want it to go grey / silver there are clear oils taht you can suse to preserve this. Only apply oils or stains to the exterior of the sauna. Bear in mind that you might get seepage between staves on a barrel or slats on the single skin saunas such as the Pure Cube CU range.

Cedar has natural resistance to rot, decay and insect damage which makes it ideal for exterior cladding. With tight grains, it is a very durable material which prevents splitting, shrinkage and warping.

Yes. Speak to your electrician to establish what power you have available. Bear in mind electricians will probably do their calculations based on everything being on simultaneously. Explain how often you will use the sauna and establish whether if you turn off a high demand item will it free up power for your heater being on for an hour a day!
With a woodburner heater
Depending upon outside air temperature, heater type and size of sauna but anything from 25 to 70 minutes. Woodburners take longer than a properly sized electric heater. Insulation helps reduce warm up times.
It depends on your preference. For speed and hassle free sauna'ing electric is easiest but if you are in a remote location, do not have sufficient power or prefer the going back to nature vibe of a woodburner heater, the woodburner heaters are very efficient but do need a supply of dry wood.
Depends on your DIY skills. Some clients self build but must will get a tradie in to do it.
Barrel saunas can be lifted by HIAB. Cube saunas are trickier. If you think it will need relocating build it on a deck that can be moved
Electric sauna heaters or woodburner sauna heaters
Depends on the product but lead in is usually three months so plenty of time to do prep. When the sauna is on site two to four days to assemble. Sophisticated lighting systems might add a couple of days to this.
Concrete, level gravel, paving slabs or timber deck are all suitable as long as they are flat.

White knotty cedar is characterised by smaller tight knots; premium grade red cedar is called clear as it has few or no knots whilst knotty is as the same suggests, knotty! Knots or no knots whote and red cedar have the same resistance to decay and insect damage, they all "silver down" over time and white cedar probabaly has a slightly less strong cedar smell.

Optimal temperature range for the sauna is 65-90 degrees celsius subject to personal preference.

There are too many variables to give an accurate answer to that question - size of occupants, frineds or strangers, sitting or lying, We adise to allow 600mm per person seated to establish max capacity when seated. We have small medium and larger saunas which accommodate 3 to 8 guests but sizing is a personal thing and we supply drawings so clients to work out how many people they would be happy to accommodate.
